Someone call the doctor...

Jumper: New Look
Boots: Doc Martens

I finally wore my pink Doc Martens! Haha, I live in my blue ones but I've had these for almost a year and have never known what to wear with them! *the shame! :P* I’m obviously getting a bit more daring! I’ll be sure to get lots of use out of them from now on :D The jumper is from New Look and is super cosy! Although not the most flattering fit; I’ll only be teaming it with tights!

...well I had to co-ordinate something to those bright pink boots of mine! :P Admittedly not the neatest effort, haha, but I was quite proud of my first attempt with a nail art pen! :P

Having been the worst blogger ever recently, I am really looking forward to catching up on what you guys have all been up to! :D We don’t have a phone line in our new house therefore we can’t get Broadband :( But I have invested in a dongle so hopefully I’ll be making a more regular appearance again!

MY FIRST BLOG AWARD! :D

Hey! I've been really ill the past couple of days with a sickness bug :( So you can imagine how majorly cheered up I was when I logged on to here to find that I'd been nominated for a blog award...THREE TIMES!

Thank you SO much to Launa In Ponderland, Shopping Bag Full Of Dreams and All These Pretty Things for awarding them to me! :D

I have only been blogging for a month and had no idea if I was doing it correctly, aha :P So it was really nice to get these! :D NOW GO CHECK OUT THEIR BLOGS! :D Sorry, I don't mean to be bossy but you'd be missing out if you didn't ;)

Here are the rules to receiving this award...! :)

-Thank and link back to the person who awarded you!
-Write 7 random things about yourself!
-Spread the love to 15 other bloggers!
-Inform them about it! :)

***7 things you won't already know about moi...!***

1. I got knocked out by a football on my first day of school! :(

2. ..I also knocked myself out running into a door playing 'what's the time mr wolf?' >.< Doh! :P

3. When I was 4 I was a bridesmaid for my aunt's wedding, because I didn't know the words to the hymns I stood at the front of the church wriggling my hips and singing Boomshakalaka instead! Lmao, embarrassing much!? :P

4. I turned my dog into a banana addict! >.<

5. I like to rollerblade around my house! :D

6. Even with 3 kids my parents have always been pretty adventurous; in the past we have lived in an old ruined school, a caravan and a haunted ex drug house in the Spanish mountains!

7. I miss living in Spain so much! The culture, the people, the laid back way of life...the heat! I know this sounds hypocritical coming from someone who posts about outfits and purchases, but there was nothing materialistic about living out there! It was too hot to be bothered about new clothes, we collected our own water from the fountain and swam everyday without fail! Just a simple, healthy, feel-good lifestyle!

Sorry, that was a bit lengthy! >.< Here are the blogs I'd like to award...! ^.^

RVP

I don't know if you are allowed to include the people that gave you the award in the first place but I genuinely would have awarded it to them also so I put them on there anyways! :)
These are my favourite blogs at the moment, plus they are all really nice people who always make the effort to comment back and stuff - which we all know is muchly appreciated when you're pretty new to blogging! ^.^ Make sure you all have a gander! :)

The owl and the pussycat...

Hello there! Sorry I have been so slack on the old blogging lately! >.< I've been doing so many hours at work that I just haven't had the time :( But more hours = more money = MORE CLOTHES! So happy days! Haha :) I went on a little splurge after work yesterday afternoon and bought this new outfit...

Top: £10, H&M
Jeans: £40, Topshop
Belt: £2.50, Peacocks
Necklace: New Look
Bangle: Old...

I have an obsession with high waisted jeans/shorts/skirts at the moment! Although they're not usually the most comfortable things to wear (to sit down in :P), they make you feel really confident with the illusion of a smaller waist and elongated legs - which I need with my short-arse 5 foot 2 inch frame! :P I loved the terracotta colour of these Topshop ones - perfect for autumn! :D

Grockles

Hello! :D So although I am pretty hungover from last night's shenanigans, I still had a really lovely day down the beach! :) (The beach is literally at the end of my road, only a 3 minute walk and yet I barely go down there!? I should appreciate it more - and next time I'll remember to take my camera, doh! >.<) But of course I couldn't even manage the beach without ending up doing a little shopping! :P Haha, I picked up this bracelet and ring from a local surf shop for £6 :)

I love the psychedelic pattern on the ring; it reminds me of the sea :) I also bought this dress...from a grockle shop! (For those of you that aren't familiar with the term "grockle shop" - used by us in south-west England - it basically means a tourist shop that sells bits of tat! :P)

I was quite happy with this little find - only £14.99 and the belt came with it :)

GET F*CKED STUD

Aren't these just the most amazing high waisted shorts ever!? I bought the American flag high waisted shorts from Topshop (you know the ones!) and although I love them, I also wanted a pair that everyone hadn't got! >.< I'd been searching for a pair on Ebay for quite a while and was so EXCITED when I found these...IN MY SIZE! They are vintage Levi's that have obviously been cut, dyed and customized! :)

Teamed with...

Yeah, I went a bit stud crazy! >.< (Hence the title of this post - it's the name of a Biffy Clyro song if you didn't already know!) The bag I've had for ages which is from Matalan and the shoes are actually my Mum's! :P Haha, she bought them from Debenhams :)

Romwe

Hello! :) So it's been one of those days where I've endlessly clicked through the pages of Topshop, River Island, Miss Selfridge, etc. pining over EVERYTHING! (When ISN'T it one of those days, right!?) ...and THEN I came across Romwe! (Sorry if I'm a bit behind the times and this website is old news to a lot of you?!) After basically adding the whole shop to my cart... (!) I finally whittled it down to these 3 items! :)

These are the original prices but when you sign up they give you a 20% off voucher code! Free shipping too; can it get any better?! Haha, well I'll let you know what they're like when they turn up...! :P

Where do you like to shop? :)

 Blazer: Select
Skull tee: AX Paris
Jeggings: Select

Your heart is like a HAND ME DOWN; something to pass around and around...

My mum's friend gave me this dress a while back as it no longer fitted her, and I'd completely forgotten about it until today! >.< It's an old Topshop one but I was just wondering if anyone knew how old? The aztec print and the cut-out back make for a perfect going out dress this season anyways! :D

FLOWER POWER

The playsuit I ordered from the Miss Selfridge website arrived on Wednesday, what do you think...?

I couldn't resist this with it's wide sleeves (really on trend with the whole 70's vibe that's going on this summer) and gorgeous floral pattern! Usually I wear a size 8 in trousers, shorts, etc. and a size 10 on top therefore with this playsuit being buttoned up the chest, I thought it was best to order a size 10...and to be honest, I would have been better off with an 8! Typical! You can't tell in these photos but it slightly gapes above my waist.

I want to wear this on a night out but I still need to find the perfect shoes and accessories to go with it! Any suggestions would be muchly appreciated! :)

"Mellow yellow"

EEEE I DO LOVE MY BUG! <3

It even has yellow (ish) seats....!

Marshmallow scented air freshener: £1, Accessorize ^.^

The only problem with having this as a first car is that everyone recognizes me...making mistakes! Haha. I just couldn't get a normal car though, quirky all the way!? ;P I spent the last 2 days driving around so now I'm feeling like I do actually belong on the road - it's amazing how much you don't get taught in your lessons! I still had my 16 year old brother in the passenger seat shouting out directions to me though...and he mayyyy have taken the wheel to bay park, lmao! :P (Although note how I drove to the end of the car park where there were no cars to hit...! The first time I drove into this space, the line was in the middle of my car, haha.)

Happiness is a mood, not a destination...

Julian: People get lost when they think of happiness as a destination.

Brooke: How do you mean?

Julian: We're always thinking that someday we'll be happy, you know, we'll get that car, or that job, or that person in our lives that will "fix" everything. But happiness is a mood, and it's a condition, not a destination. It's like being tired, or hungry... it's not permanent. It comes and goes, and that's okay. And I feel like if people thought of it that way, they'd find happiness a lot more often.

One Tree Hill sure is inspirational!? If you don't watch it, you're missing out! This conversation between Julian (PHWOAR, I'd watch it just to drool over him!?) and Brooke really hit me hard, it portrayed exactly how I'm living my life at the moment. I thought that if I put all of my effort into passing my driving test and getting a car then it would result in me being happy - but now that I've achieved that goal, my mindset has changed to 'well I'll definitely be happy once I've saved enough money to move away and start a fresh' ...does it really work like this? I've just got to start living rather than waiting for something! >.< Some people eh, just never content! :P

Anyways, I went out for a meal for my friend's 21st last night (note to self: never order pasta at an Italian restaurant, YOU MAKE A MESS!) and here is what I wore...

Leaf patterned top: £3, Primark! BARGAIN! Especially as I've had so much usage out of it! It's so comfortable and easy to wear!
Long vest top: H&M
Necklace: Old...
Leggings: Select
Has anyone found that Select leggings fade after literally 2 washes? H&M leggings are pretty see-through? And New Look leggings obtain holes? Where do the best value leggings?!

Bracelets: £3 each, Indian accessory shop

I wanted to dress up...but not look too dressed up!? Really difficult when you don't know what anyone else will be wearing! So to glam up the outfit I added a pair of black wedges and red lipstick!

Mmmm...still got Julian on the brain! :P
